Organic Health Services is also the private acupuncture practice of David Youran. David attended the University of Pennsylvania where he majored in History and Culture. Unsatisfied with the course of his education, he took a one-year leave of absence after his junior year. After living briefly in Eugene, Oregon and Walton, New York, David returned to his hometown of St. Louis, Missouri. There he met Dr. Thomas Duckworth. Upon meeting Dr. Duckworth, David was immediately intrigued by Oriental Medicine. He enrolled in a strict Japanese style four-year apprenticeship program which only he and two other students completed. After graduation David briefly worked at Natural Life Therapy Clinic with Dr. Duckworth before opening his own practice. David is currently the only acupuncturist in Indiana specializing solely in Infertility and Pregnancy Wellness. Organic Health Services is the first and only practice in Indiana specializing in natural reproductive healthcare. David brings a deep personal interest to his practice. He was adopted from Bogota, Colombia after his parents struggled with infertility. In 1984 his sister Michelle was the first baby conceived through In Vitro Fertilization in Missouri. David and his wife, Gabi, celebrated the birth of their first child, Sydney Elizabeth, in March of 2008.
Amy Balcerak attended Purdue University with a focus on life sciences, before starting her study of acupuncture at the New York College of Health Professions in Syosset, New York. Her education and clinical efforts provided her with a unique exposure to many different types of treatment techniques, including: Traditional Chinese Medicine, Japanese acupuncture, Five-Element acupuncture, and Korean massage. Upon receiving her master's degree in acupuncture, Amy moved back to Indiana where she started her private practice, Whole Body Health. While seeing family and friends struggle with infertility, Amy developed a great interest in helping people conceive and maintain healthy pregnancies. Amy joined the Organic Health Services team in April 2008. She is excited to be assisting women on their journey towards reproductive health. Jen Jones, CMT, is a certified massage therapist and member of the professional organization Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP). She graduated from Indiana University with a BS. in Human Development/Family Studies and minors in Public Health Education and Sociology. She then received her medical massage therapy certification from MedTech College in Indianapolis, Indiana. She also received certification in pregnancy massage from the Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy in Chicago, Illinois. Jen’s passion and dedication to relieving stress and tension through therapeutic touch earned her a coveted externship with Clarian Health. She provided stress management massage to patients, family members and staff on Methodist Hospital’s Labor and Delivery floor and the Ruth Lilly Hospice Unit. It has been a lifelong dream of Jen’s to work in the reproductive wellness field. She is excited to provide relaxation to couples during their fertility journey. She believes it is truly a privilege and honor to work with the patients at Organic Health Services.
Laura Tritt, RD, CNSD began her dream of becoming a registered dietitian while attending Purdue University in 1996. She graduated in 2000 to begin her dietetic internship at the IU School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. Laura has been a registered dietitian at Clarian Health Partners, specifically Indiana University Hospital, since 2001. In 2006, she was certified in Nutrition Support. Most recently, Laura has specialized in critical care nutrition, but has also worked with other patient populations including transplant recipients, diabetics, and cardiac/renal/pulmonary patients. She has a passion for helping her patients learn and understand their dietary needs. Laura also worked in the cardiac and pulmonary rehab program at NIFS for four years before the program was closed. Laura is excited to begin a new adventure with Organic Health Services in providing services to those with diet and nutrition needs. With first hand experience of family members trying to conceive, she understands the difficulty and stress the fertility process can place on individuals and families. Laura is confident that with diet education and a nutrition plan, patients can become more healthy and alleviate stress associated with poor diet and fertility. She is honored to become a part of the team at OHS. In her spare time, Laura is a triathlete, runner, and cyclist. She recently completed her first Ironman distance triathlon in Lake Placid, New York in July of 2007. She has run several marathons with hopes of qualifying for the Boston Marathon next year. She also enjoys providing sports nutrition education to local running groups.
Donna Zeh joined Organic Health Services in June 2007 shortly after falling in love with the practice of acupuncture. Donna has gained a diverse background in management, marketing, public relations and teaching during her work with institutions and corporations such as Junior Achievement where she was Vice President of Education, Ball State University as a Professor, and the Graphic Art Center (GAC) where she worked as a Project Manager. She completed her undergraduate coursework at Ball State University and earned a master of business administration at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).
